The HLN Aquano hydronic heater is a powerful yet compact heating solution designed for engines and passengers in severe cold weather. Its unique design makes it ideal for use in trucks and buses. The heater operates independently of the engine to preheat the engine and defrost the windshield. It can also warm up domestic water when used with a heat exchanger. The investment is justified by its lower fuel consumption, reduced engine wear, lower emissions, and reduced burden on aftertreatment systems. Additionally, the heat from the coolant can be distributed via the vehicle’s existing exchangers and air vents, providing hot air for the passenger compartment.
The HLN Aquano 20K is the most powerful hydronic heater in the HLN lineup, delivering 20kW of heating capacity for heavy-duty 24V commercial vehicles. It is engineered for large diesel engines found in Class 8 trucks, city buses, coach buses, and heavy construction equipment.
At 20kW, this heater can bring a large diesel engine from ambient temperature to operating temperature in extreme cold, significantly reducing the mechanical stress of cold starts. For fleet operators, this translates to measurably lower engine maintenance costs, longer engine life, and reduced fuel consumption during warmup periods.
The Aquano 20K operates independently of the vehicle engine and can be triggered remotely via the WiFi digital control panel and SmartLife phone app. Fleet managers can schedule preheating cycles across multiple vehicles for early-morning departures.
Like all HLN heaters, the 20K is built to OEM specifications and supplied as factory-installed equipment to major commercial vehicle manufacturers. The heater also warms the cabin through the vehicle's existing HVAC system and can defrost windshields before the driver arrives.
Priced at $1,099, the Aquano 20K is positioned for commercial fleet applications where the cost of cold-start engine damage, idle fuel consumption, and driver comfort justify the investment.

If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us at info@hlnind.com immediately. Please note that returns may incur charges. For items that have been used, installed, tested, or are faulty, these will either be replaced or repaired under warranty and redelivered at our cost. However, any item returned under warranty found to have no issues will require payment for redelivery and the labour costs for testing.
