The HLN Aquano hydronic diesel heater is a powerful yet compact heating solution designed for hot water or engines and passengers in severe cold weather. Its unique design makes it ideal for use in vans, buses, boats, campervans, motorhomes, and campervan conversions. The heater operates independently of the engine to preheat the engine and defrost the windshield. The investment is justified by its lower fuel consumption, reduced engine wear, lower emissions, and reduced burden on aftertreatment systems. Additionally, the heat from the coolant can be distributed via the vehicle’s existing exchangers and air vents, providing hot air for the passenger compartment.
The HLN Aquano 5K is a 5kW hydronic diesel heater that warms engine coolant rather than blowing air. It preheats your engine before starting, defrosts the windshield, and can heat the cabin through the vehicle's existing air vents — all without running the engine.
This heater solves three problems at once. First, it eliminates cold-start engine damage by bringing the coolant to operating temperature before ignition. Second, it provides cabin warmth through the vehicle's own heating system. Third, when paired with a heat exchanger, it can supply domestic hot water for van life and marine use.
HLN builds the Aquano series to the same OEM standards used by major truck manufacturers worldwide. The 5K operates down to -40°C, runs on diesel fuel, and includes a WiFi digital controller with SmartLife phone app connectivity. A gasoline-powered version is also available at $699 for gas-engine vehicles.
The diesel version is currently on sale at $659 (regular $699) and ships with a complete installation kit including controller, fuel line, coolant connections, and mounting hardware. A Bluetooth controller option is available by request.

For items that have been used, installed, tested, or are faulty, these will either be replaced or repaired under warranty and redelivered at our cost. However, any item returned under warranty found to have no issues will require payment for redelivery and the labour costs for testing.
